Proposal regarding Calling Party Number Delivery
1. Introduction:
In the recent years, the transmission of international calling party numbers and other identifiers are becoming increasingly important. ITU-T has produced several Recommendations concerned with this matter e.g. ITU‑T E.157, I.251.3, I.251.4, Q.731, Q.731.7 and Q.764 (CLIP: Calling line identification presentation, CLIR: Calling line identification restriction), and accordingly the calling number and other identifiers as relevant, has been correctly delivered between some countries or areas based on bilateral or multilateral negotiations between telecommunications operators, and is independent of the service provided to end users.
