Proposals regarding the work of CWG-WCIT12

A. The first priority is to agree a work schedule for the preparatory work and to request inputs from the membership via the invitation Circular to the next meeting.

B. The second priority of this meeting is to provide a proposal to Council regarding the specific dates for the WCIT-12 and for the agenda of the WCIT-12. A report to Council 2010 must be agreed at the 25 January 2010 meeting, because the next meeting of CWG-WCIT12 is the day before Council, too late to prepare a first report.

C. The third priority is to prepare the group’s report to the 2010 Plenipotentiary Conference.

Syria thus proposes that the draft agenda of the 25 January meeting be modified as follows:

1. Introductory remarks by the Chairman

2. Adoption of the Agenda

3. Election of Vice-Chairmen

4. Consideration of the contributions presented to Council 2009 (documents C09/6, 65 and 78) and the comments made during discussions at Council 2009 (plenary sessions 8 and 10)

5. Consideration of the contributions presented to the meeting

6. Dates of future meetings
