Presentation of the final report of the 2012 World Conference on International Telecommunications

Introduction and Background

In this contribution, the United States proposes changes to the draft report of the Council Working Group to Prepare for the 2012 World Conference on International Communications (CWG-WCIT12) to ensure that the report accurately represents the outcome of the work undertaken by the CWG-WCIT12.

The draft report of the CWG-WCIT12 is structured to follow the existing International Telecommunication Regulations (ITRs) framework and provides an opportunity for all Member States, including those that have not had the opportunity to participate in the studies, to review the results of those studies prior to development of national and regional proposals for the WCIT-12.
