USG memorandum on WCIT 2012 and ITRs

The following memo was distributed by the US government State Department on 23 January 2012 to non-governmental stakeholders asking for input.

SUBJ: 2012 ITU World Conference on International Telecommunications (WCIT-12)

This memorandum provides an update on the status of WCIT-12 and suggests steps to advance U.S. goals at that treaty conference. Expanding private-sector and civil society participation in the WCIT-12 preparatory process is key to achieving those goals.
